Water will be temporarily turned off in several areas from 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, to 3 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, to install a new waterline connection for the Department of Water Supply’s Halaʻula Well Development – Phase 2 Project.

The affected areas are as follows:

AKONI PULE HIGHWAY FROM IʻOLE ROAD TO AKANA PLACE, INCLUDING HALAʻULA-MAʻULILI ROAD, OLD HALAʻULA MILL ROAD, MAʻULILI LOOP, NIU LANE, GREENSBANK ROAD, AKANA PLACE, OLD HĀLAWA MILL ROAD, AND ANY PRIVATE ROADS WITHIN THE SHUT-OFF AREA; NORTH KOHALA, HAWAIʻI

Upon the resumption of water service, the waterlines will be flushed and cleaned, during which time customers may notice turbid and/or discolored water. You may also notice trapped air in your plumbing, which will be released as you initially use water.
