The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 218 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 81,501. Four new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 34 new infections were identified on the Big Island Sunday.

The state’s seven-day average is now 176 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.9%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 4,498 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 841 have died.
