Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced weekly road and lane closures of Oct. 9-15. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —

HILO (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 6, Kamehameha Avenue and Kipimana Street, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 47 and 48, vicinity of Kapapala Ranch, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

WAIOHINU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 64 and 65, vicinity of Nāʻālehu and Haʻao Springs Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

CAPTAIN COOK TO HŌNAUNAU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 103 and 110, Aliʻi Drive and Koa Road, on Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving.

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 2.7 and 4.8, Kanoa Street and Kahoa Street, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming and mulching.

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 5 and 7, Kaʻapoko Homestead Road and Kahoa Place, on Tuesday, Oct. 12 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

NINOLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 16 and 20, in the vicinity of Hanapueo Stream and Ahole Stream, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

— KAWAIHAE ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

Single lane closure on Kawaihae Road (Route 19) possible in either direction between mile markers 60 and 67, vicinity of Ohina Street and Old Māmalahoa Highway, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping maintenance.

Single lane closure on Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0 and 2.1, Hawaiʻi Belt Road and Opukahala Street, Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for paving work.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 1 and 3.9, Lalamilo Farm Road and Kamakoa Gulch, on Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving.

WAIKOLOA (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 7, near Saddle Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder improvements.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) in both directions between mile markers 10 and 19, on Saturday, Oct. 9, through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscape maintenance.
