Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced weekly road and lane closures of Oct. 9-15. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KANOELEHUA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —

HILO (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 6, Kamehameha Avenue and Kipimana Street, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

KEAʻAU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Kanoelehua Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 7 and 9, Keaʻau Loop and North Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 47 and 48, vicinity of Kapapala Ranch, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

WAIOHINU (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 64 and 65, vicinity of Nāʻālehu and Haʻao Springs Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming work.

Single lane closure on Hawaiʻi Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between the mile markers 16 and 20, in the vicinity of Hanapueo Stream and Ahole Stream, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Monday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) in the eastbound direction between mile markers 0 and 2.1, Hawaiʻi Belt Road and Opukahala Street, Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for paving work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 1 and 3.9, Lalamilo Farm Road and Kamakoa Gulch, on Monday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 7, near Saddle Road, on Saturday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for shoulder improvements.
