Portion of Highway 190 Closed Indefinitely

UPDATE: BOTH LANES OF TRAFFIC NOW OPEN.
The Hawai´i Police Department reported Thursday afternoon, Sept. 30 that Highway 190 is closed in both directions in the vicinity of the 34-mile marker north of Koloko Drive.
The closure is due to a motor vehicle accident. No timetable was released for the reopening of the road.
Motorists are advised to take the Queen Ka´ahumanu Highway for their afternoon/evening commute north out of Kailua-Kona.
