Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in a theft of a hydraulic jackhammer.

At 7:18 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Puna patrol officers responded to a report of a theft that occurred at a residence in Ainaloa. Video surveillance captured shows two suspects wearing full-face Japanese “Kabuki” type masks removing the large tool.

The suspects were also observed operating an early 2000 white lifted Dodge pickup truck with a primer black hood and off-road tires.

The vehicle and suspects may have also been involved in other unrelated incidents in the Hawaiian Paradise Park, Ainaloa, and Hawaiian Beaches neighborhoods.
