Community Invited to Celebrate Torah Dedication

The public is invited to a Torah celebration and talk story with Holocaust survivor Goldie Lefkowitz next week in Pana‘ewa.

On Aug. 14 at 11 a.m., Rabbi Rachel of East Hawai‘i’s synagogue Ahava ‘Aina, will be joined by Hawai‘i County Mayor Mitch Roth for the dedication of their Holocaust Torah to the Hawai‘i Island community

Following the dedication at 1:30 p.m., a talk story will be held with Lefkowitz, age 99.

The Torah celebration and talk story will take place at 1009 Ahuna Rd. in Pana‘ewa.
