COVID-19 vaccinations will be available Saturday, Aug. 14, at Kona Commons Shopping Center, just outside Jean’s Warehouse, between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon.

There’s no need for pre-registration. Those individuals who come down are asked to bring an ID and Insurance Card (if they have one). There is no charge for the vaccine.

Residents over the age of 18 may receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Moderna, which requires two doses, and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, requiring only a single shot, will be available.

Health professionals with the West Hawai‘i Community Health Center will register, screen, vaccinate and monitor vaccine recipients. They will also offer blood pressure and blood sugar checks.
