Community Policing Meeting to Discuss Ag Theft Open to Public

Hawai‘i Police Department’s Hilo Community Policing Section will host a community meeting on Monday, Aug. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Honomū Gym, located 28-1641 Old Mamalahoa Highway.

The event, hosted by County Council Member Heather Kimball, will provide area residents an opportunity to ask questions, as well as share and discuss community concerns. One of the main topics of discussion will be agricultural theft. Officers will provide updates on the department’s efforts to mitigate these crimes as well as ag theft prevention tips.
