Hawai‘i Island police are searching for a missing Big Island teenager.

Authorities have requested public assistance to locate 18-year-old Kanoelehua Awaa, who was recently reported missing. Awaa is described as 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown eyes and long red hair.

She was last seen on Monday, July 26, 2021, in the Hawaiian Acres area of Puna wearing long-sleeve denim jacket.

Police ask anyone with any information about Awaa’s whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
