The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 276 new cases of coronavirus statewide Sunday, bringing the overall total to 40,659. Two new COVID-related deaths were reported.

A total of 85 new cases were identified on the Big Island Sunday.

Following 11 consecutive days of case counts in the triple-digits, the state’s two-week average is now 179 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 4.7%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 28,795
Maui: 4,054
Hawai‘i: 3,626
Kaua‘i: 511
Lana‘i: 114
Moloka‘i: 57
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,594

A total of 2,631 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 529 have died.
