Motorists are advised of a convoy scheduled from Pōhakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Docks beginning at 8 a.m. and ending no later than 5 p.m.
The Hawai‘i Army Reserves (100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry “Go For Broke”) will be transporting their wheeled vehicles. Convoy departure times are staggered to prevent congestion along the highways and assist the local community’s daily travels.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution when passing or overtaking the convoys. US Army convoy leaders are reminded to conduct pull-over drills to allow community motorists to pass the convoys in a safe manner.
