Brush Fire Closes Portion of Highway 19

The Hawai´i Police Department is advising motorists to avoid Highway 19 and Nahala Street due to a brush fire in the Honoli’i Area.

The Hilo-bound lane of Highway 19 in that area is closed for at least the next 45 minutes. Those who can not avoid the area should expect delays.
