Training for the month of July involves primarily the Hawaii Army National Guard and Army Reserves conducting their annual training, and will involve small arms, mortars, drones and ground maneuvers during day and night hours. Additionally, aviation units from Wheeler Army Airfield on Oahu are conducting aviation training with UH-60 Blackhawk and CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

There are no planned convoys, however, PTA Public Affairs will advise the community once requests are submitted.

PTA will also tentatively host mammal hunts in July (exact dates to be determined). Go to their site for information on the rules and details. The recording of PTA Change of Command can be found at https://www.facebook.com/pohakuloatrainingarea.

For more information or questions, call the PTA Public Affairs Office at 808-969-2411.
