Yesterday July 10, police and rescue personnel responded to a report of a male diver who had fallen approximately 50 ft. over the cliffside into the water.

Two Hawaii Fire Department Engine companies, a rescue company, along with the East Side Battalion Chief, a helicopter, and a rescue boat responded.

One of the personnel contacted the diver’s friend who provided local information to assist. The chopper was able to locate and extricate the patient to a waiting medical crew. The patient was treated and transported to HMC ER in critical condition.
