Vaccination Drive, Gift Card Giveaway Set For Big Island Hospitality Workers
A coronavirus vaccination drive and KTA gift card giveaway for Big Island hospitality workers is taking place later this week.
Those who participate will be afforded a $50 gift card from KTA Super Stores for registering to receive the vaccination on site. All those hospitality workers who can prove they work in the industry and have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 will also be eligible for the gift card.
Sponsors of the vaccination drive include the Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association in partnership with the County of Hawai‘i, KTA Super Stores, Mālama Ia Hawai‘i, Community First, Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and Grand Naniloa Resort, a Doubletree by Hilton.
“The Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association is proud to partner with KTA Super Stores, Mayor Mitch Roth and Hawai‘i County to provide this amazing opportunity for Hawai‘i Island hospitality workers to get vaccinated,” HLTA President & CEO Mufi Hannemann. “We recognize that the most significant hurdle standing between local residents and the COVID-19 vaccine is accessibility. As such, we wanted to pair our last #AlohaLater distribution with a vaccine drive, and we are looking forward to making this possible on July 1.”
The event will be held July 1, from 1 pm to 4 pm, at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Those interested may register using the following link: www.ktasuperstores.com/hotel-vaccinations.
