DOH Reports 33 New Cases of Virus Tuesday

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 33 new cases of coronavirus statewide Tuesday, bringing the overall total to 37,702. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Two new cases were reported on the Big Island Tuesday. The state’s two-week average is 41 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 27,063
Maui: 3,873
Hawai‘i: 3,187
Kaua‘i: 358
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 56
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,304

A total of 2,465 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 516 have died.
