The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf advisory for the south-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands through 6 pm Monday evening.

A swell from east of New Zealand will keep surf above advisory levels into Tuesday, according to the report.

Surf is expected to reach as high as 6-8 feet. Expect strong breaking waves, shore break, and strong currents making swimming dangerous.

Heed all advice from ocean safety officials and exercise caution.
