Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Competition
The UCC Hawai’i Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Program seeks young women interested in participating in this year’s competition. Opportunities to register as a candidate in the November competition will be held at Kona Commons Shopping Center Saturday, June 26, and Sunday, July 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
The registration events will be held at the heart of Kona’s premier shopping center, just outside of the Jean’s Warehouse store.
The UCC Hawai’i Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Program celebrates the Kona Coffee industry, and the titleholders, Miss Kona Coffee and Miss Aloha Hawai`i are ambassadors who represent Hawai`i Island’s culture and heritage. Candidates vie for scholarships and the opportunity to potentially compete in the Miss Hawai`i and Miss America competitions.
Young women between the ages of 17-25 as of December 31, 2022, who are interested in learning about the competition, are invited to come by Kona Commons, meet the program directors and current titleholders, and pick up a registration packet.
This year’s competition is being held in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival which will be held November 4- 7. The pageant is scheduledfor Friday, November 5, at the Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, headquarters of this year’s festival.
