35 New Big Island Cases
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 73 new cases of coronavirus Sunday. The statewide total is now 36,616. Three new COVID-related deaths were reported.
35 new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Sunday, where the Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center continues to address an outbreak at its facility. The state’s two-week average is 49 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of .9%.

Out-of-State: 1,208
A total of 2,360 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 505 have died.
Approximately 1.5 million vaccine doses have been administered statewide.
