Jack’s Diving Locker is collaborating with Ocean Defenders Alliance to host the 6th Honokōhau Harbor Cleanup event.

The cleanup is set for Saturday, May 22 from 9 am to noon. It is a COVID-friendly underwater cleanup, and those who wish to participate must comply with state and county coronavirus protocol for outdoor events. There are two shifts on the cleanup due to COVID-19, one from 9 am to 10:30 am and one from 10:30 am to noon.

Those interested should meet at Jack’s Diving Locker harbor shop. They may call 808-329-7585 to reserve a shift or simply show up and ask to be included. However, each shift has a maximum of 22 spots and it is possible that those who do not call ahead may not be able to participate.

Jack’s reported that approximately 4,500 pounds of trash have been collected at each of the six events.
