Big Island Reports Zero New COVID Cases Tuesday

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 56 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday. The statewide total is now 33,889. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

No new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Tuesday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 78 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.

A total of 2,240 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 492 have died.
