Hawai‘i Daily COVID Averages on Decline

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 83 new cases of coronavirus Friday. The statewide total is now 33,533. One new COVID-related death was also reported.

One new case of the virus was identified on the Big Island Friday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 67 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate with 1.4%.

DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 2,222 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 490 have died.
