STARS Program Accepting Applications

The 2021 STARS (STEM Aerospace Research Scholars) program is now accepting applications. Young women, ages 14 and up, are eligible to apply for this week-long summer program intended to inspire and encourage girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. This year’s activities will include engaging speakers, workshops in rocketry and UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), a trip to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a Microsoft augmented reality demonstration and more.

Dates: June 21-25
Eligibility: High school girls, ages 14 and up
Where: Big Island
Cost: Free
