Blaze Destroys Structure in Volcano Village

No injuries were reported following a structure fire in Volcano Village early this morning, May 8.

At approximately 1:57 a.m. Hawai‘i Fire Department received the call regarding the blaze on John Lee Road. When they arrived on scene, crews found a 1,500-square-foot wooden structure with an iron roof engulfed in flames.

According to HFD, the empty and unoccupied structure collapsed due to fire damage. It was completely destroyed.

No one was injured during the incident. The fire is currently under investigation.
