Hilo Community Players Announces Auditions for Romeo and Juliet

Hilo Community Players announced auditions for its upcoming play Romeo and Juliet for the 44th annual Shakespeare in the Park Festival.

Auditions for dancers and actors will take place at the East Hawai‘i Cultural Center, 141 Kalakaua St., on May 5 and May 8. Roles are available for ages 12 and up.

Auditions on May 5 will take place at 6 p.m. for dancers and 7 p.m. for actors. On May 8, auditions will take place at 11 a.m. and noon for actors.

Those auditioning may attend both days, however, only one day is required. Come dressed to move for the dance audition, and bring your own pencil.

Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

The play will be directed by Theon Weber and choreographed by Nadia Schlosser.
