Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for the public’s help in locating a Kaʻū man who was reported missing more than a year ago.

Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher-Jay K. Baird was last seen in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision in Kaʻū on Nov. 30, 2019. He is described as a local male, medium build, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He may also frequent the Kailua-Kona area.

Police ask anyone with any information on Baird’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311, or contact Detective Tyler Prokopec of Area II Criminal Investigations Section by phone 808-326-4646, Ext. 224, or email him at [email protected].
