DOH Reports 87 New Cases of COVID Statewide

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 87 new cases of coronavirus Friday, raising the statewide total to 30,571. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Four new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Friday, per DOH statistics. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the state’s website.

The state’s two-week average is 88 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 2,039 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 470 people have died.
