The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test along Maiau Street in North Kona on April 14.
Other areas affected include above Kamanu Street and along Kamanu Street between Kauhola and Kaiakoili Streets. The test will occur between 9-10 p.m.
The affected areas may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.
Customers that experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period are asked to Darren Okimoto or Joshule Johnston, DWS District Supervisors, at 808-322-0600.
