Elderly Big Island Man Missing

Hawai‘i Island police are searching for 95-year-old Toyoki Morimoto, who was last seen on Monday, March 22, 2021, in the Orchidland subdivision in Puna.

Morimoto walked away from his residence and is in need of medication.

He is described as being Japanese, 5 feet tall, weighing 130 pounds, bald with brown eyes. Morimoto was last seen wearing a beige cap, blue/brown checkered jacket, blue jean shorts and slippers.

Police ask anyone with information on Morimoto’s whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 and ask for Officer Laurence Davis. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
