Hideyori Toyotomi

Hawai‘i Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an 84-year-old Kona man who was reported missing.

Hideyori Toyotomi, who suffers from dementia, is described as Japanese, 5-feet-7-inches tall, approximately 160 pounds, with long, straight, white hair.

He was last seen on the afternoon of Feb. 23, 2021, sitting on a sidewalk on Kuakini Highway, north of the intersection with Henry Street in Kailua-Kona, wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, and slippers. He is known to frequent the above-mentioned area, as well as the Kailua Pier, and the general area of Hilo.

Police ask anyone with information regarding Toyotomi’s whereabouts to call Officer Mara Gaertner of Kona Patrol at 808-326-4646 ext. 253 or the police department’s non-emergency number at 808-935-3311.
