Girl Scouts Hosting Virtual Activities
Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i is inviting interested girls and their families to join its free virtual recruitment events, where they may learn more about the Girl Scouts organization and programs. Events will include family-involved STEM challenges and a Girl Scouts’ birthday celebration.
“Our annual open house event allows girls of all ages to experience what it’s like to be part of a troop and the activities they’d participate in, as well as answer questions parents and families may have,” said Shari Chang, Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i. “While this year’s programs will be held online, participants will still learn how Girl Scouts prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership, success, and adventure, in a fun and safe place designed for girls, by girls.”
Financial Assistance Campaign
Girl Scouts of Hawaii will also be providing Financial Assistance in the form of a free membership to girls with families that have been affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“We know that many families are facing financial issues and need support. The Girl Scout slogan, ‘Do a good turn daily,’ is a reminder of the many ways girls can contribute positively to the lives of others. Even when times are tough, Girl Scouts rise to the challenge,” said added Chang.
