Authorities Seek Missing Big Island Woman

Big Island police are searching for 30-year-old Marina Cortez, who has been reported missing.

Cortez was last seen on March 5, 2021, at 11:30 am in the area of Kamali´i Road in lower Puna in a copper colored sedan. 

She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 110 to 120 pounds, with shoulder length/curly dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans, a long-sleeved thermal sweater and a yellow shirt.

Police ask anyone with information on Cortez’s location to call Officer Laura Torres at the Pāhoa Police Station at (808) 965-2716 or the department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at (808) 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
