Police Seek Public’s Help Find Missing Nā‘ālehu Woman

Hawai‘i Police is asking the public’s assistance in locating a Nā‘ālehu woman who’s been reported missing.

Fifty-nine-year-old Gail Ka‘awa, who has a medical condition that requires medication, is described as Hawaiian, 5-feet-5-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with long wavy black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen leaving the Keahuolu Courthouse in Kailua-Kona on Dec. 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. and may frequent the Hilo area.

Anyone who may have any information on Ka‘awa’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or Officer Bradley Waiki in Ka‘ū Patrol at 808-939-2520.
