Wind Advisory Issued Through Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service has issued an overnight a wind advisory for much of Hawai´i County through 6 am Wednesday morning.

East to northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph, remain in the forecast for windward Big Island, as well as the southern region of the island and much of Kohala.

Winds this strong are capable of downing temporary structures, trees and causing localized power outages. Motorists should use extra caution.
