Sub-freezing temperatures come to the Big Island Summits while moisture moving in with the trade winds will occasionally extend above the Summits. This will lead to periods of snow and freezing rain or drizzle through early Monday morning.

  • WHAT…Wintry mix of precipitation, with periods of snow and freezing rain or drizzle.
  • WHERE…Big Island Summits above 11,000 feet.
  • WHEN…Until 6 a.m. Monday.
  • IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult as roadways will
    occasionally be covered with ice.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
