UPDATE: Power Restored to Hawaiian Electric Customers in Honoka‘a Area

UPDATE: 2:57 p.m.: Power has been restored to the area.

UPDATE 2:53 p.m.: Crews have arrived on scene and found a downed tree on a power line.  Repairs are underway.

More than 2,200 Hawaiian Electric customers are without power from Papaikou to Kalopa and Honoka‘a/Pa‘auilo areas.

Crews have responded to the scene. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
