The National Weather Service in Honolulu has forecast a strong thunderstorm that will impact an area of West Hawai‘i Island.
At 2:53 pm, the thunderstorm was located 12 miles south of Honaunau, or 26 miles south of Kailua-Kona. NWS reports that the storm is nearly stationary.
Winds NEAR 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.
The primary location of impact is expected to be Miloli‘i.
