NWS Issues Big Island Wind Advisory

A high wind advisory is in effect for Big Island Summits through Sunday morning.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has forecast northeast winds of 35 to 45 mph with localized gusts over 50 mph through Sunday at 6 am.

Winds this strong will make driving difficult. Motorists should use extra caution.
