Malfunctioning Siren Wails in HPP

A malfunctioning siren blared early this morning in Puna.
Hawai‘i Police Department reports the siren went off in the vicinity of Hawaiian Paradise Park near Maku‘u Drive and 6th Avenue at approximately 6:30 a.m. Residents are asked to disregard it as there is no threat.
Personnel have responded to inspect the siren.
