Kailua-Kona Street Light Poles to Be Replaced
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works Traffic Division will reinstall street light poles that were knocked down in traffic accidents in Kailua-Kona.
Work will be done at two locations: Ali‘i Bypass-Nāpō‘opo‘o (west of Nāpō‘opo‘o intersection) and at Henry Street ocean-side (makai) of the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway intersection.
Work will be conducted between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019, weather and construction conditions permitting.
There will be a merge/closed lane during this work period. This lane merge/closure is necessary to complete the work in a timely manner and for the safety of the workers and the traveling public.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
