The 31st annual St. Joseph School Country Fair is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, starting at 8 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.

This year, the fair is celebrating the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph School.

The fair delivers carnival-style games for keiki of all ages, fun activities, local food, a silent auction and community service displays. The merriment includes pony rides, jumping castles and a rock climbing wall. The fair also offers plants, produce, lucky-ticket drawings and much more. It’s a country fair with a local flair.

The fair is open to the public and the admission is free. St. Joseph School is located at 1000 Ululani St. in Hilo.

There will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern along a portion of Kapiʻolani Street on Saturday.

Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., traffic will be allowed to flow in the Puna or southerly direction on Kapiʻolani Street between Hualālai Street to Wailoa Street.

The temporary one-way traffic pattern allowed under Hawaiʻi County Code, Section 24-10, will be in effect to accommodate the fair.
