Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reports a 6.6 (updated) magnitude earthquake occurred today at 11:57 a.m. latitude 51.3 north, longitude 178.1 west near Andreanof Island, Alaska.

LOCATION – ANDREANOF ISLANDS ALEUTIAN IS. ALASKA

Evaluation:
Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-Wide Tsunami is not expected and there is no threat to Hawai‘i.
