KAPA Hawaiian FM morning personalities Jaz and Ka’ea welcomed Kaumakaiwa Kanaka’ole to the KAPA Cafe.
Kaumakaiwa is a multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winner singer, and hula dancer from Hilo. Her great grandmother was Edith Kanaka’ole, and she has been apart of the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival since the age of 12. Kaumakaiwa has released 3 CDs, and her debut album, Ha’i Kupuna, won the Haku Mele award.
