New Fissure Breakout

A new fissure erupted this evening near fissures 2 and 7, beginning with small lava spattering at about 8:44 p.m. By 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, lava fountains as high as about 70 m (230 ft) were erupting from the fissure.
