The Kui‘kahi Mediation Center presents a workshop that will be held for employers to learn to give recognition to their employees on Friday, May 4, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the Hawai‘i Innovation Center at Hilo (HICH) located at 117 Keawe St.

This four-hour training explores how everyone wants to be recognized, appreciated, thanked and rewarded for their professional contributions. Discover the diverse range of recognition platforms; approaches to take with your workforce; and insights about what is gained when regular, positive acknowledgment is active within an organization or team.Flyer - Employee Recognition- 5-4-18

About the Instructor

Joan Shafer is an expert on leadership and culture. For the past 20 years, she has been researching and working on improving employee recognition in a wide variety of organizations. A renowned speaker on this topic, Shafer trains management teams how to strengthen capability and optimize performance. She has worked with companies, NGOs, communities, and non-profits on six continents.

The cost of the workshop is $50 and group discounts and individual needs-based partial scholarships are available.
