New HR Director Appointed for Hawai‘i County

The County of Hawai‘i’s Merit Appeals Board met on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, to appoint William V. Brilhante, Jr. as the County’s new Director of Human Resources.

Brilhante’s appointment is effective Thursday, March 1, 2018.

He has served as the Acting Director of Human Resources since Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. He joined Human Resources as Deputy Director on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. Prior to joining Human Resources, Brilhante was a Deputy Corporation Counsel with the county.
