Hawai‘i Island Lane & Road Closures: Feb. 3–9

The State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation and the County of Hawaiʻi Department of Public Works have announced the following temporary road and lane closures from Saturday, Feb. 3, to Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

VOLCANO ROAD/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) 

1) KEA‘AU
Lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 6 and 9 in the vicinity of the Kea‘au-Bypass Road intersection to Kamehameha School on Monday, Feb. 5, through Friday, Feb. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement marking.

HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19)

1) HAKALAU
Alternating lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions at mile marker 16 on Monday, Feb. 5, through Friday, Feb. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge rehabilitation work.

2) KALAOA
Shoulder closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 84 and 89 on Monday, Feb. 5, through Thursday, Feb. 8, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for pavement marking installations.

3) KĪHOLO
Shoulder closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between milepost markers 79 and 84 in on Friday, Feb. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement marking.
