Kona Stories to Feature Illustrator at Children’s Book Reading

Kona Stories Bookshop will feature children’s book illustrator Tammy Yee during its next preschool story time reading at the Keauhou Shopping Center on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 10:30 a.m.

Yee is a former Hawaiʻi Island resident who grew up in Honolulu and has illustrated more than 36 children’s books. Her latest work is “Wanda’s Humpback Hula Show,” which will be featuring at the Kona Stories Bookshop story time reading.

Parents are asked to arrive at the bookstore 10 minutes prior to the event start time. Space is limited. Attendees may RSVP by calling (808) 324-0350 or emailing [email protected]. There is a $5 fee to cover crafts and snacks and participating children will receive a $5 bookstore coupon.

The monthly event, supported by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Stefanie of Blue Journey Farm, is tailored for children ages three to six years old. AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change.
