Hawai‘i Island Lane & Road Closures: Nov. 27–Dec. 1
Due to Thanksgiving weekend there will be limited roadwork scheduled on Friday through Sunday, Nov. 24, through 26, 2017.
The State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation and the County of Hawaiʻi Department of Public Works have announced the following temporary road and lane closures from Monday, Nov. 27, to Friday, Dec. 1.
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting. For information about statewide closures, go online.
VOLCANO ROAD/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11)
Kea‘au
Lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between Mile Markers (MM) 6 and 9 in the vicinity of Keaʻau-Pāhoa Bypass Road on Monday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement marking.
Pahala
Alternating lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) between MM 53 and 57 on Tuesday, Nov. 28, through Friday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement reconstruction.
MĀMALAHOA (HIGHWAY 190)
Puʻuanahulu
Alternating lane closures on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 190) in both directions between MM 20 and 22 in the vicinity of Puʻuwaʻawaʻa Ranch Road, on Monday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for roadway improvements.
HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19)

Alternating lane closures on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions at MM 16 on Monday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge rehabilitation work on Umauma Bridge.
