Special Marine WARNING Issued for Big Island Waters

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Special Marine Warning for Big Island Leeward, Southeast and Windward Waters until 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
At 10:26 p.m. a strong thunderstorm was located 17 NM South of South Point or 25 NM South of Discovery Harbour moving North at 15 knots.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater are expected.
Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include FAD BUOY A…SOUTH POINT…FAD BUOY B…FAD BUOY TT…FAD BUOY UU…FAD BUOY SS…FAD BUOY KH AND FAD BUOY RN.
